Barely worked out before covid struck and work-from-home became a thing.....now it's a six day a week thing. My old early 80's Schwinn Airdyne got a couple thousand mile put on it in the past year and a half. Love the thing.....but decided to buy a new toy. My Rogue Echo Bike just arrived about an hour ago. It was a trek getting it down the stairs without ruining my walls or the bike itself.

Friend I know got one and said the wind that the front wheel generates is like a hurricane. They do make shield for it though. Maybe he was exaggerating.

Myself, I like high-intensity/short-duration. I think it gives the most bang for the buck. But to each their own, if you prefer long and low. (y)

Pre-Covid I probably walked 15-25 miles per Month.

Starting in March 2020 I repurposed the commute time I was saving and upped it to about 50-60 miles per month with the thought that getting in better shape was the best defense against the virus along with other health benefits.

Starting in November 2020 a friend and I have challenged each other to 100 miles per month, which we have continued to date. Usually get to 110-120. Great for the mind and body. I sleep much better and my legs haven't felt this great in over 20 years.

25 minutes of mid to high intensity biking is great. I start sweating hard after about two miles on the odometer. Dropped from a little over 200 pounds to around 175. Helped that I mostly cut out sugary beverages and switched to kombucha.

I hear its best to ride the Airdyne in a 200 degree sauna.

I got a broken Gym quality Stairmaster free on craigslist during Covid, an $8 chain and its like new. The chain lube I ordered cost more than the chain.😁
Kicks your ass.

Exercise bike/stepper in the basement while I watch VHS movies. I usually do 30 minutes at a time and at least four times a week.

Recumbent exercise bike in my office. 1 hour each day while I play video games.
Usually 40-ish minute walk with the pup over the noon hour.
I was never sold on Fitbits, but I bought one a few months ago. I hate myself (even more so than usual), if I don't get it to buzz at 10,000 steps.

I picked up a used Schwinn Airdyne at a second-hand exercise equipment store in Sioux Falls. I think that model retailed for $600 or $700 new - got it for $300.

I usually wind up riding it about 3 or 4 days a week - would do more but hard to make it fit my work schedule.

I try to ride for about 45 minutes or at least until I get over 10 miles on the odometer. Don't go too hard. I am 66 and had a heart attack in 2016, so I have to make some considerations for my age and physical condition.

When I retire at the end of the year, I really want to get into a regular routine and ride the bike at least 6 days a week. I have some small hand weights that I alternate with, and also try to do some ab work with situps, crunches and so forth.

I've typically divided my exercise between spring/summer/fall and then winter.

This was my winter workout for about 15 years, believe it or not.

I guarantee that doing this full speed is brutal. If you can keep up with this move by move at their pace, my hats off. The old Tae Bo. I still have a bunch of VHS cassettes. No VCR though. I was delighted to see them on youtube. I've taken up running the last few years. My son got me into it doing RunDisney. Fun stuff. I've only done a half marathon but we went down and he did the Dopey Challenge which is a 5k/10k/half marathon and full marathon on consecutive days. Crazy stuff. There's nothing like running. I've had to take a bit of time off lately though. I've got a heel spur that's affecting my achilles and another spur on my hip. I was finally to the doctor a few weeks ago and they think I've got a small tear in my labrum so I'm having to really take it easy in what I'm doing which is beyond frustrating. Otherwise, in a typically week it's rotating lifting and then running or biking with Sunday off. Age is catching up with me though. Sucks getting old.
