Iowa RB Jewel Hampton arrested. Iowa always finds a way to shoot themselves in the foot and put themselves at a disadvantage before the season starts. It will be interesting to see what happens. Jordan Bernstine was also being disruptive during the encounter with police, which led to his public intoxication citation. I hope Ferentz, when all the facts are gathered and clearly understood, punishes these players sufficiently.

Eh...when I read the story I came away a bit surprised it was a big deal. If all he was doing was drinking and copping an attitude towards the police, the appropriate punishment is probably something along the lines of a ticket, a night in jail, and a stern talking-to from the coach (imho).
 

What a couple of thugs. They should be kicked off the team immediately. They obviously don't deserve scholarships. A scholarship is only for those who are responsible and respectful and these two are not. There are people in the army who aren't in trouble and in Iraq. I hope they go to prision forever for being terrible. People who excuse this type of behavior are terrible. They should be ashamed.
