Season tickets remaining 2021

I have steadily risen in my gopher points number but not from anything I have really done. I do not like that you get more points for having ST to multiple sports as opposed to having multiple for just one sport. Had four FB ST for years and that was seen as less support than say having single ST to a couple sports.

having 8 football season tickets I feel your pain! 😂😂

Made some improvements. Down to 607 I expect it to pick up now that spring training is starting.
Down to 549 some sections "added" more tickets and some sections dropped a lot more than normal. I suspect people are moving their seats around for this season.
sections 131 and 244 made a big drop this time while 230,212 added seats.
Now sold out: 111, 145,

Pleased to see my section is still out of reach of the common rabble.

- puts monocle away in a particularly classy way -

You seem to enjoy following this, so I don't want this to sound like I am trying to steal your joy, but you do realize that the seats listed on these maps are only a small fraction of what is truly available, right? Better stated, there are far more than 549 seats available for purchase on a season ticket basis. The renewal period isn't over and they haven't yet started the seat improvement process, at least not in a formal way. I can assure you that if you call the ticket office and tell them you'd like to buy 600 (or 3,000) new season tickets they would be happy to accommodate you. You might not be able to pick out your seats on the website, but the inventory is there.

All these posts suggest to me is that they have sold about 100 new season tickets since you started the thread.

Oh yeah I think everyone knows that. It's just a fun thing to follow.

yes i know this is just what they allow every year for slated said tickets. if they sell out they open up more but if they don't they will sell them as singles games. of course if there is more demand they will add more but not till they get rid of the reserved amount of these tickets. so there is 549 guaranteed season tickets left not how many total season tickets. they have been know to add more seats on the website as-well so we will see if we sell out!

I’ll also be tracking tickets for sell out during this season if we have fans!

They need to figure out how to fill the upper deck of the student section
I know this is an old comment, but this is a topic I like to discuss.

Option A: Regulate the number of people entering the lower bowl and actually enforce it. They try this at every game, but it has been terribly enforced except for the Penn State and Wisconsin games in 2019. As others have said, there are for more students in the lower section than their are designated spots, so that is reflected in the upper deck.

Option B: Remove the upper deck of the student section entirely and expand the lower level to include two additional sections on either side, which I believe would be sections 113-135. These are all of the the bleacher sections around that endzone. This would of course bump some season ticket holders out, which is why I would not expect this to happen. However, the reason I would personally want this to happen is because there are very few P5 schools that have their student section split across multiple levels. It creates a disconnect within what should be the loudest part of the stadium. I think having a student section that wrapped around that entire endzone would create a much better atmosphere as a whole.

I would like to see them adopt Option B. There is plenty of space to accommodate the displaced season ticketholders and it would create a better overall student section. Those upper level bleacher seats might be hard to sell, but that would be the perfect area to take out some seating and create a party deck.

Option C

Remove a "portion" of the upper deck student section and turn it into the Gopher Hot Tub Hole / Beach Club with hot tubs, a bar, a beach, and where I alone rule tyrannically until the end of time...

That or just put that whole thing on the roof, people will just gravitate towards my magnificence.

C seems like the most sensible option.

Bars / booze and a GA ticket to create a party atmosphere is always the answer 😂.

Could sell more tickets than are in the Student section...

I like the idea of moving the students down from the upper deck and let them take over the lower portion of the stadium. Also like the idea of creating an environment some how like a party deck that has been mentioned. While some students may not like football so much, but they'll come and hang out with their friends on the party deck. Not sure how you do that as it would clearly be in the shade and wouldn't be a great setting unless you popped a hole out, created a wide door for people to mingle on a deck outside of the stadium.

Cantilevered deck / beach that hangs over the parking lot.

I'll allow it.
