I might of missed something here. I don't think he chose Stanford over the Gophs, I don't think he was offered by the Gophs, right? If you are a somewhat marginal prospect and are offered by a Pac-10 school that just so happens to be one of the best schools in the world, I don't think accepting said offer is an act of Gopher hate.

If the athlete is unlikely to go pro then we don't want him anyway so who gives a rip. I want guys who know they are going pro (even if they are not going to) They need to have that kind of swagger to them.

i chose another school over the U because they have a weak program for my field. still love and support their athletics; makes no difference in my eyes.
