Hot of the press with my calculation as of 10 AM today. Using @Hollinsanity script using data from mygophersports
Only 651 season tickets remaining unless they open up more sections.

That's great to hear - I remember sales were way up pre-pandemic, I was worried that might put a dent in season tickets for 2021.

Again that's with current demand I'm sure it they "sell out" they will take away more single game tickets and add more season tickets.

They need to figure out how to fill the upper deck of the student section

Students don't sit in seats. For a busy game they pack in and stand in the lower level. If you count a row there is like 5-6 more kids per row than seats. But they don't sit unless they are too drunk to stand.

They should make a student season pass for non U students. plenty of other college student that would go that go to other colleges in the area. ie Metro state, Hamline, Concordia

FWIW - a "source" claims that MN is going to allow the Twins to start the season with in-person fans up to 25% of capacity. and as of March 5, just under 19% of state residents have received one dose of vaccine and just over 10% have completed their vaccinations.

Ummmm, no.

Are these numbers factoring in COVID related distancing or partial capacity?

Do we know what that translates into with regards to tickets sold?

Ummmm, no.
that's how you fill up the student section with college kids since the U's numbers and stands never fill up what's your idea on how to make the student section full every season?

The lower deck bench seating holds about 20% more than actual capacity with the student “cram factor”. Count the number in a row sometime.

didnt realize they already set the qty of people. how much is it ?

My guess would be they always start it at whatever the previous season's total season ticket sales were, and expand if the demand is there.

What was the total number of season tickets sold in 2019? How about the total number sold before the season was originally cancelled in 2020? I would guess the current mark of "available" season tickets was placed around those two numbers.

What level of capacity is this based on...certainly not full capacity.

I don't think we can read much into these numbers. The season ticket base for the last couple of "normal" years has been reported to be in the 21,000 range. The renewal deadline for 2021 is the end of April and I expect that they will spend time after that reaching out to anyone who failed to renew to try to get them to re-up. All of those seats will be "unavailable" on the map until that process is complete. There are likely also seats being held out of the inventory while they wait to see what level of capacity will be allowed. So, short of talking to someone in the athletic department, I don't think we can tell much about how sales are going.

Also I'm assuming that the standing room / available tickets season tickets are still available and there are half season ticket packages still I think ...

Lots to consider.

hopefully full I'm just going off the website since there is a lot of sections marked as "sold out/unavailable"

Yep, thus my question.

I just bought new season tickets based on what was available. Very limited selection. Your saying in April they will open up more seats. Can we "improve" our seats at that time?

Doubt that it will be April, but yes, at some point at the end of the season ticket upgrade process for returning season ticket holders, you should have the option to re-visit your seat location.

Looking at this before the upgrade process is not useful. There are not going to be only 651 season tickets available.

651 tickets that you can purchase before the upgrade process I will update it after the upgrade process too. This is just what the ticket office has posted as available to purchase now.

I rolled over 7 tickets and let the i keep the money. It’s possible many others did the same

I just renewed my 8 season tickets! This thread had me a little worried that I’d be able to keep my normal seats (if they go to some limited seating model or something), but for now I was able to keep my open end zone seating!!

I always wanted to sit there for a game or two. Wouldn't trade it for my seats, but it looks like a fun area.

I think so, everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one by fall. Should be fully open.
