Michigan starting to pull away already, Up 35-23 with three minutes remaining in the first half. Along with Iowa...they are definitely the class of the Big Ten.

It bodes well for the rest of the Gophers season....getting both Iowa and Michigan games out of the way early. Plus we already had roads games AT Wisconsin and Illinois. Can't imagine there being a team in the entire nation that had a more difficult start to their conference season.

Michigan is so much better defensively this season {so far) then i could have imagined. They exploited every weakness UW has and that is often really hard to do. This helps me in my dream for us to finish ahead of UW just once.

Yeah, Pitino was talking about this on his weekly show today. The gophs have the toughest stretch of games in gopher history, and 4 of those 8 are against the the top two conference teams. Two more were at Illinois and at Wisconsin, other highly rated teams. Crazy tough.

Yup. Sets us up nicely for a second half run. Team will be well tested.

And a 7-0 run for Michigan starting the second. Where have we seen this before?

Up 47-26.

I had hopes we’d be competitive with Michigan going into the game, and that their undefeated record and top 10 ranking were due to their soft schedule up to that point, but watching our game it looked like they might be next level good, possibly better than Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. I thought their ball movement on offense looked really good. Any time Robbins walled up in front of the hoop, someone cut behind him to get a pass for an easy 2.

I think Michigan rolls wisco on Tuesday.

You were right! I thought Michigan was the better team and would win but that Wisconsin would keep it close.

I thought Michigan was the best team in the league before tonight but this just confirms it. They could well be a #1 tournament seed.

Against a long athletic team like Michigan he is exposed in that heavy minute role. We will see if Michigan can take this on the road.

I just don’t think he is very useful. Maybe he develops but as of now he is a liability against good teams.

I told my buddy who is a diehard Michigan fan this. He was skeptical but I’ve seen the best of the B1G and its Michigan followed by everyone else. They can beat you at every position and from anywhere on the court. Excellent defense, can shoot, a couple dominant players. Really impressive team.

All across the sport they are raving about Howard as a coach. We know how recruits but so far this year his team is clinical. If they can beat us here i put them on the Gonzaga level.

So...unlikely to win Saturday. Nebraska game likely cancelled. We might go 20 days in between wins after all. :(

Franz Wagner is better than Moritz Wagner and the latter was a 1st round pick.

Michigan just destroyed the Gophers in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half--and beyond. They guarded very tight and the Gophers just unraveled. In fact, the Gophers have been consistently whipped in the first five minutes after halftime on the road. There is a leadership/coaching component to this IMO.

Baylor is really good too, but their games against ranked teams keep getting postponed outside of Illinois. The Big Ten is better than the Big 12 as well.

Doesn’t make them less good. Baylor is loaded. Top to bottom. Strength of conference also means very little. Ask Gonzaga.
