With Kneepkens committing to Utah, the 2021 pool for Minnesota Kids is essentially down to possibly 3 for the Gophers. Adalia McKenzie, Sophie Hart and Ellie Dague. As tomorrow enters a week long shut down for recruiting, curious where people predict Minnesota lands in the lottery for these players.

Have two Minnesota kids in Maggie Czinano and Katie Borowicz, and do we think we land another Minnesota kid from 2021?

McKenzie and Hart would be nice but i’m guessing we get McKenzie only.

McKenzie isn't coming to MInnesota. They are still in the running for Hart.
Are these names reversed? Wasn’t it reported McKenzie leaning heavily towards the gophers? What changed?

That’s correct. Kneepkens and McKenzie are both guards and yet couldn’t and can’t see themselves playing for a Hall of Fame guard. It does make you wonder!!

Has she committed today or something? Or is this guessing she won’t come to Minnesota?

Wasnt it said that Mckenzie wanted to study something Minnesota didnt offer? Anyone know if we're recruiting Maty Wilke from WI? She played aau with North Tartan and is a top 100 player on espn.

Kneepkens is going to Utah

I meant McKenzie. You and Five Out both are saying it’s like Adalia has committed or announced gophers are no longer on her list. Or are you two simply guessing she won’t pick Minnesota?

McKenzie is still open but her going to Minnesota is in some doubt

McKenzie hasn't committed or announced yet but said privately she isn't coming to Minnesota.

Any idea why? It was stated she was "heavily considering" the gophers in February. Wonder what changed since then.

In my opinion there are a lot of people in her ear and some of them have become caught up in the hype of the recruiting process.

The more I watch her the more I like her game. Excellent court vision, good shooter, great ball handler. Plays for North Tartan AAU. And this is a compliment: plays like a guy!! ELLIE DAGUE

Bold statement... who is this spouting such knowledge? :):):)

After being out such a long time Ellie has to prove herself on the EYBL circuit to show that she is quick enough still for the high major level. If you have only one scholarship to give Hart has to be the first choice. If she says 'no' then everything is up for debate.

Has Sophie Hart released a list of schools she's interested in?

No public list. Mostly ACC and Big Ten schools after her the hardest.
I know she was an Iowa lean before Addison O'Grady committed there. They are still recruiting her but are also high on McKenzie and Wilke (WI) too.

Iowa is after after Hart, Wilke and McKenzie or Gophers are?

Iowa was sitting very well with Hart prior to their last post commit. Hart has close relatives in Iowa City who are involved in athletics (coaching). Iowa would still probably take Hart, but would go for another guard preferrably and is high on Wilke and McKenzie's list of schools with both having been in Iowa City for visits just like Hart who has visited campus multiple times.

so gophers should quit on all fronts and focus on 2022 class?

No, nobody said that.
Well to recap per this thread...

-Sophie leaning towards Iowa and likely going there
-McKenzie has said privately not coming to Gophers

Gee sure hope Wilke at least can stand the gophers :rolleyes:
