The Athletic released their full mock draft today. I'd guess we get 1 or 2 more of these from them. Will try to update/compare if we do

Here is where they have the Gophers players going:
1st Round: NA
2nd Round: Antoine Winfield Jr, 58, Minnesota Vikings
3rd Round: NA
4th Round: NA
5th Round: Tyler Johnson, 149, Detroit Lions
6th Round: Carter Coughlin, 181, Denver Broncos
Kamal Martin, 190, Philadelphia Eagles
7th Round: NA

Local note: Ben Bartch from St. John's (Collegeville) was projected at 62 in this draft, to the Green Bay Packers

Would be pretty surprised if TJ lasted that long.

I think he and Winfield will both go higher, just based on production. Hard to say on the other 2, I just don't know the major difference between 5th and 6th

Same, think he goes in the 4th most likely, but it is a very deep receiver class. I also don’t think Winfield will last until the Vikings 2nd round pick. Ben Bartch that high surprises me. He has a lot of potential and can move very well, but he will likely have to take a year or two to put on more weight and adjust to a much higher level of competition.

Bartch is interesting. Every coach/GM wants to be the smart guy that took the D3 kid and worked with them and made them great. Obviously Bartch has the physical tools, but you're right. He likely won't be ready to contribute much year 1. I like adding him in since the state doesn't get many kids drafted, let alone D3 kids.

Early rounds of the draft are a lot about getting the best player available regardless of position to a certain degree. In the later rounds it is more about getting the best player you can who fills a position of need.

That is part of what makes it so tough to figure out where TJ is going to go because it is a deep WR class so once the top guys are gone at the position it will come down to who needs to draft a WR and how they graded out the next tier of players. Hopefully TJ and his team have been doing a good job building his stock with teams over the past month or so to offset him not running the 40 at the combine.

I tend to think the NFL undervalues players with poor measureables. But I could see Vikings taking AW at 58 to fill a play now DB position figuring he is the type of player who is smart enough to contribute right away.
