Looks like we know what the helmets will be. Chrome gold with maroon facemasks. Block M on one side and Goldy face on the other. Solid

 

Not a fan of the big Goldy face on the helmet. It’s a little too cartoonish for me. I like the Goldy logo from the Fresno game better. It’s a more classic look.
 

I am a big fan of the big Goldy face on the helmet. However, I am in the minority in that I am not a big fan of the chrome gold helmets. It seems like a Johnny-come-lately thing that has been phased out by many of the teams that once had chrome helmets.

I'm a traditionalist but I love the chrome helmets. Best in school history imo.
 





Vintage uniforms from the early 60s, when the Gophers were last great. Plain maroon jerseys, no names or adornments other than numbers; plain tan or white pants, tri-striped white helmets: maroon, gold, maroon.

I don't like the business of those helmets, especially the cartoonish Gopher which is interrupted by chin strap attachments and etc. Way too much going on.
 



White jerseys and maroon pants then. Goldy should be permanent IMO on the uniform.
 

Are Uniform combinations right now are the best all time

I agree with some of this. The stripe, or oar, or whatever it is, is terrible. The black Nike parts are bad. Goldys face is good. I like the chrome helmets they wore last season against Wisc. the best. Why they wouldn't want to continue with those is beyond me.

Pretty sure the helmets are identical except for the 1) Goldy face, 2) the stripe lost the paddle part, 3) the M has a different outline.

1 is a good look. 2 was a great change to all the helmets this year. 3 makes sense because it was hard to read the M logo at night (attached)Minnesota-Wisconsin-Football.jpg

The stripe ain’t great, but 1000x better by losing the wide paddle at the end.

I love all of our current uniforms except for the anthracite. I think the chrome gold helmets look cool but not as big of a fan since chrome gold is not a school color.
 

Love the chrome gold helmets, but could do without the Gopher on them. That, plus gold pants would be a perfect road uniform all the time, taking advantage of the huge free branding we get from all media as "Golden Gophers," never just "Minnesota Gophers." Brand, ID - it's all good. But somehow we end up with maroon, white, anything but gold.
 

Not a huge fan of the Goldy face but I don't care because I love the chrome gold. Besides being our best looking helmet, all our best wins lately have come with the chrome gold.

Well your name is oldbob.... you probably yell at young people when they stand up on third down too..

I love these, and we've had successful games wearing them. Vs @ sconnie and in last years bowl
 

No complaint, but I favor our traditional gold helmet (as seen in my avatar) with maroon appointments... Goldy on one side occasionally is fine.

Embarrass? Yep.
Minnesota? I like it. Wish they did initials and number (like JA22).
