Tyler was interviewed on Doogie's latest Scoops Podcast, where he talked about his game and recruitment. He took an unofficial visit to Minnesota this past weekend and is visiting UW for their team camp. He says he talks to former Lakeville star Nate Reuvers once a week.

Tyler Wahl, SF/PF, D1 Minnesota – With starting point guard Tyrell Terry out, Wahl is being asked to play the position this weekend in Chicago. While it isn’t natural for him, Wahl is doing a very solid job of making others better, and simply controlling the pace of the game. Wahl is a good decision maker and better at breaking opponents down than he gets credit for. A bit of a do everything type of kid, Wahl has more than admirably filled his role as floor general this weekend.

Would LOVE to see this kid at Minnesota. Really reminds me of Ben Woodside...

Other than being white and from Minnesota, I dont see many similarities. Woodside is a 5''11 shooter/scorer. Wahl is a 6'7 athletic/slashing wing.

We have 4 scholarships and hes dam good. Great passer, defender, ballhandler, really athletic player. Needs to improve his jumpshot, but hes very good. Hes got a decent amount of p5 offers for a reason.

He is a 4 star recruit who can play 4 positions. He's playing the 1 right now in AAU at 6'7"!

He might not be elite but he is dang good.

who was that short slashing point guard at Minn State Basketball tourney last winter that was fantastic... i might have wrong guy :(

Maybe he's thinking about Calvin Wishart? PG from Delano had a nice little run in the tournament

He's decent, does a little bit of everything but not a game changer, I agree that with the schollies available he should have offered in March, you don't need every recruit to start day on.
 

Wahl will be announcing his commintment to Wisconsin soon.
