It's time to give Mike Hohensee a shot at being the Offensive Coordinator at the U. He led a prolific offense in the Arena league. Having coached all those years on a smaller field would give Hohensee a huge advantage over Big Ten defenses. Hohensee has shown he doesn't need the whole field in order to move the football. These bigger dimensions would be like a kid in a candy store for Hohensee.

We should have gone down that road last year. I would have loved to have Hohensee here, but it is too late imo. It is time to stop with the revolving door thing.
 

yeah, but he'd lose the ability to run all those cool passing plays where the QB ricochets the ball off the wall. With Weber's tendency to overthrow people by 10' they would have come in handy. I'd like to have a proven coordinator from a real league, not one where half the guys have names like "he hate me!" on the backs of their jerseys. Then again, the NFL has that "ochocinko" clown.

I agree though, that unless someone at the U can resurrect Bill Walsh (cue image of a head in a jar on the sideline) we stick with the OC we got. Even if he is a twit.
 

We have beaten this issue like a dead horse. Mike Hohenesse would not be a good hire. Arena ball is not college ball and Fisch has more upside
 

The Arena League is barely even football. Canadian Football is 100 times more like American Football than is Arena Football, I don't think the offense would translate well at all.
 


Good god Gold04, why don't you just bump your other fricking 6 threads on this guy. You don't need to start a new one every fricking 6 weeks. Seriously, you must be related to the guy. That or you have one hell of an unhealthy obsession.....
 

completely agree. Gold04 is either Hohnesee himself or is a stalker.

Hiring coordinators from the pros has worked out so well.
 

My guess is these quarterly Hohensee threads are started by 1 M. Hohensee.
 



All I remember about Hohensee is that great game where we beat OSU back in the early 1980s at Memorial Stadium. Best, by far, football game I have ever had the pleasure to attend.
 

QB Coach vs OC

I think we need to let the WR coach go and hire Mike H as the QB coach!! Weber and our QB's need a coach that is not splitting time between the game strategy and coaching QB's. Fisch coached the Bronco's WR's and did a good job with them so he has the credentials to take over the WR coaching responsiblities plus do the game plan coordinating...
