Talented, out of control player, with anger issues.

Now the rest of you can finish the sentence!!!!

Grayson Allen is a...

Badger killer.

Go Gophers!!

. ... poster child for why so many people hate Duke. (also see Laettner, Wojo, JJ, Scheyer, etc.)

...a kid who needs to have someone fight back and drop him with a punch. He'll never learn until he gets dropped.

the epitome of a dick Duke basketball player.

...troubled kid who needs to want to get better.

...(an) example of what should have happened to Adam Woodbury.

He is a kid who has behavioral issues and needs professional help. I know it's hard not to but ripping him is unfair in my opinion, because his behavior is not willful on his part. It is a disorder that needs treatment. When I saw his reaction on the bench, honestly my first reaction was that he wasn't upset at the refs or anyone else but himself, and he is incapable of controlling his emotions.

... an overly emotional basketball player.

ESPN Fanatic: Oh dear god, Grayson Allen tripped someone again, what should be done?

Rational Human: (Too busy contemplating 2017 damnation. Question doesn't enter consciousness)

Spot on.

Let's not forget he's not getting paid also before we crucify him for being who he is. And you can shout all the 'he knew what he was getting himself into' or 'he likes the attention when it's good' yadda yadda yadda.

He's a brat, MIGHT (That's even an unfair assessment after watching him play basketball, some people wear their emotions on their sleves, doesn't mean he needs "help") have some emotional disorders and made some mistakes.

We SHOULD let Duke punish him appropriately for it and move on.

Can't control how you feel, can always control how you act (although it can be difficult). He might need help, but he's responsible for his actions.

I am in no way saying he is not responsible. He did it, he pays the price. What I am trying to say is that I don't believe he can control it; it a mind over body issue. Absolutely 100% he is responsible and he deserves punishment. I hope that he can seek professional treatment and that he has people around him who are compassionate and patient.

great big sieve! do dah! do dah! Oops wrong board.

The U of M EoAA should get to handle his case. [emoji41]

A really bad PR guy for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

A really good basketball player who made some really dumb decisions on the court and is now being properly punished for those dumb decisions.

I have seen a couple articles that imply the suspension should last 5+ games. That sounds a little excessive to me. I say 2-3 game suspension with the requirement that he meet with a sports psychologist and go talk to some elementary school kids about how there will be consequences when you don't play clean. He's not a "kid" any more, but he's still young enough to learn from his mistakes and put them in the past.

Cut him some slack. He's basically a Good kid...just wound a little tight. And he comes from Good stock: grandfather - George Allen the football coach; father - George Allen the Governor of Virginia; great-uncle - Steve Allen the comedian; cousin - Irwin Allen the film producer/director; 2nd cousin - Tim Allen movie actor. Someone in his family invented the wrench. He is unrelated to Sean Hannity.

Meaningless. Good families have bad apples...especially if there are entitlement issues.
