I know there is already a thread on this but don't feel like sorting through all the non-topic stuff in there. Has there been any news on those players.

Not listed on the depth/position chart;.....
assuming they're still suspended throughout MPD's investigation.

Claeys said four Gophers players remain suspended but did not share how long that status might continue.

“I don’t know,” the coach said Tuesday. “Violation of team policy. And playing (it) day by day.”

Cornerbacks KiAnte Hardin and Ray Buford, safety Dior Johnson and defensive end Tamarion Johnson were suspended prior to a 58-28 win over Indiana State on Sept. 10. Minneapolis police are working to determine whether any of the four are tied to an ongoing investigation.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has not been presented with the case, and therefore, has not concluded whether any charges will be filed.

Hardin started at cornerback in the season-opener against Oregon State and played in all 13 games in 2015. The other three have yet to play for the Gophers.

If it turns out they are innocent I just hope this gets resolved soon so that they don't end up losing their whole season. I know these things take time but this must be a fairly complex case for this little information to have been made available so far.

Would certainly be nice to have the DB's back especially heading into Big Ten play. Again assuming it all ends up coming out that they didn't do anything wrong.

It is interesting how quiet the investigation has been. I am glad it has been because it is never fair to anyone involved to have all the leaks. It is just not the norm for things not to leak. So good job to whoever is in charge. However, I hope they don't string out the investigation for a long period of time. One way or the other I hope it gets resolved soon.

Are these players still getting to practice?

So you refuse to read the thread that answers your initial question and when folks are kind enough to answer that you proceed to ask more questions that are answered in that other thread. What else is on your mind?

If the investigation drags on and these players return to the team at a much later date, I am afraid potentially they lose almost a year of eligibility they will never get back. What is the NCAA guideline in a case like this? All four have played at least a game?

The NCAA frowns on Gang Bangs.

Title IX requires an equal number of female participants.

Well done.

FTR, I'm not bashing Gang Bangs. I have seen the first 2-minutes of a number of fine films that feature them and they seem pretty cool.

If they don't play for the rest of the year and they have not used their redshirt year they should be eligible to redshirt this year. There are limits to the number of snaps you can play early in the year and still redshirt, I know if you get a single snap after a certain point in the season you're no longer able to redshirt.

If you play just one play, you cannot redshirt. If you play less than 30% of your team's games and have a season-ending injury you can apply for a medical hardship waiver (the "medical redshirt")

Two minute guy eh...

if this were the Vikings, the verdict would already be determined. The MPD could care less about the Gophers.

Just listened to Burns' podcast and he said he fully expects players to be cleared. He said he heard it would be last Saturday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, now Friday. He said who knows when but when it does happen he fully expects them to be cleared and that they will be available to play immediately however if cleared tomorrow he doubts they play unless emergency comes up.

If it were the Vikings, it would have not only been factual and true, but 8 players would have been involved.
