Gophers football coach Tracy Claeys and assistant Dan O’Brien will be grand marshals for the St. Patrick’s Day parade in St. Paul on March 17. Early last Friday morning, Claeys hosted more than 60 Gophers football lettermen for “Coffey with Claeys,” then led them to watch a spirited team practice.

Gophers football coach Tracy Claeys, a left-handed knuckleball pitcher in American Legion baseball, recalling a 420-foot shot he gave up, believed to be the longest home run in the history of Kansas State stadium: “Threw a knuckleball that didn’t knuckle.”
