WTF just happened! You cannot be f***ing serious!

I'm done . Sorry but the end of that game was the end. I wish everyone the best.

On one hand, I'm distraught about the completely piss poor time management at the end of the game.

On the other hand, I honestly don't think we would have been in this game at all if Jerry Kill was coaching. Claeys opened the playbook and we looked better on offense than we have all season and it was against the #1 defense in the nation.

I'm not going to call for his head yet.

Agreed I am done with this program...this was the straw that broke the camels back in terms of the level of stupidity to continually find epic ways to blow it. Claeys for the quote below should automatically be disqualified from even being in running for job. They almost did not get a chance to screw up the QB sneak as they almost ran the clock out with that stupid motion.

RT @RyanBurnsMN: Claeys says the staff knew the clock was running on the pass play call at the end of regulation.

In fairness, if he had said they did not know it was running, then people still call him an idiot.

He knew it was running, but I bet he didn't know what play was called. He has spent almost the same amount of time with the O as I have.

The team played fantastic for 59 1/2 minutes. I hope this was not a one-time "for Jerry" performance and that they don't deflate for the rest of the season. If not, we have a lot to look forward to. No one gave us a chance in this and we hung right in there with a very good team. Disappointing finish, but not as disappointing as another game of run-between-the-tackles-all-game-and-lose-by-20.

Does anyone think Croft would have put that sneak in?

I think I might be with you. Have already said goodbye to vikes after Favre NFC champ game. I like my Sundays now.

Settle down. It was heartbreaking to lose and the clock management was terrible. But it sure was nice to see them take the handcuffs off the QB and the offensive. Also they played to win.

Admit it, the team played a lot better tonight than most of your thought they would. They are just as good as Michigan. The non-call on slamming Matt to the ground really hurt.

Wow great game. People will argue about the last 19 seconds...give it a rest.

I thought - Who is more stupid? The interim coaching staff that has been together so long? Or me for wasting my time watching this godforsaken shipwreck of a football program? Peace out.

I miss the all you can eat Fish and Shrimp at Fowl Play on Fridays...

If thats' the best this veteran staff can do, then sayonara. They've got no shot at winning anything significant. It's shown up in our bowl games with 'em, and it showed up big time tonight. Just beyond incompetent. Borderline insane, is more like it. Just handed the game to MI after the kids played with as much gusto as they possibly could have. Coaching matters at crunch time. Our guys showed their true colors. We must do better!

There's not much to argue, it was poorly managed. We had time to run the pass, run the sneak, call a timeout, and then kick. Instead we spent 12 seconds with the clock rolling dicking around and cost ourselves the game.

Be honest. How many if you thought this game would be over by half? The end was flipping awesome...then sucked. Tonight's a fail, but it could have been an easy A. I will hold off judging the staff.

Agree it was a fun game to be at. However why in a game we were so conservative the entire game we screw up the clock ourselves at the end and then go for it was so weird. We sat on the ball at the end of the first half to go for field goals and in the 2nd half decided that fielding punts is optional

This is why we can't have nice things. "We played most of the game well."

You have to finish a game whether you are a player or a coach.

Best game in a long time, but absolutely bone-headed not to kick the field goal. If you have confidence, then have confidence you can win in overtime (their top QB was out). Running into the best goal-line stand defense in the B10 was dumb. Classic Minnesota frustration and disappointment. Sometimes it's better to play smart than to play tough.

I think my life will be better without sports. Bye

........................ATT YDS AVG TD LNG
Rodney Smith 12 74 6.2 0 23
Mitch Leidner 11 37 3.4 1 24
Shannon Brooks 12 33 2.8 0 11
TEAM 35 144 4.1 1 24

No KJ. Thomas. B Edwards. R Williams.

Predictable...... Limey.

Wow...This was beyond heartbreaking. Everyone in the student section were hugging and cheering and getting ready to storm the field. And then a complete letdown.

I guess what is shows me is the program still has the same annoying issue - they can't beat top 20 teams. Even with the game in hand, they find a way to lose. This time it's on the coaches.

Yes, Gopher time management sucked. So did the post-game, amplified, “Jesus is condemning you to hell for fornicating” God preachers outside the stadium. Anyway, I’m more than a little hoarse, there were fireworks, there was Jim Harbaugh running down the sideline trying to call time before the half-ass pass play and all things considerd fornicating seems worth the possible condemnation.

This was is tough. 03 Michgan was a heartbreaker and 05 Wisconsin made me angry....this one was a combination of both emotions. When we thought he scored the touchdown I never experienced that type of reaction in a crowd. To have that yanked away is painful. To then waste 17 seconds is infuriating. Heartbreak + Anger

The end result was the same as if The Gopher Captains brought out the Jug to coin toss.

This loss has nothing on Michigan 2003. That team could have been in the Rose Bowl. This game was the difference between being 5-3 or 4-4. I'll be much happier with wins over Iowa and Wisky.
