per CBS:
While speaking to the Baltimore Sun about the firing of Randy Edsall and the upcoming coaching search, Maryland president Wallace Loh spoke of the potential for growth within the Terrapins football program.
After mentioning the school's affiliation with the Big Ten and the Big Ten Network, the massive renovations to Cole Field House and new indoor facilities coming in the next three years, and, of course, the close partnership with Under Armour, Loh pointed to the football program's growth potential as a reason Maryland is one of the most attractive jobs in the country right now.
"I would think this is one of the most attractive jobs in the country for someone who is ambitious and willing to take risks," Loh told the Baltimore Sun's editorial board.
"I mean this is not a school going into it with an established reputation like Michigan or Ohio State, but the potential for growth, [there is] the potential to be another Oregon -- assuming the direction that's where we want to go."
