@NSandell: Given the way Saturday played out, Gophers QB situation, Kill's non-answers, Croft's tweet today - it's going to be an interesting game week

Edit: Can't be positive that it means anything, but it does give me a hunch that we'll be seeing him in action on Saturday

Play both QBs - whoever can move the team, leave him in. But give both playing time. Don't make a big deal about "starting," just establish that both will play from now on. Of course, all this is based on the supposition that Croft CAN play. Maybe he can't - isn't ready yet.

I'm a fan of this, split time would be the best for now.

agreed, much like the RB situation, give it to the hot hand, see what you got.

So Croft who is the #4 QB on the depth chart will jump Perra and Strevler?

I’m pretty sure this is Croft’s reaction to the announcement by scott walker.

Maybe he was #4 in August but the past few weeks he's been taking all/most of the 2nd team snaps in warmups.

All signs are pointing that Croft will play at some point. Whether it's because Mitch hasn't put it together or because we're up by a bunch remains to be seen, but I've resigned myself to the fact that we'll be burning his redshirt this season.

Now, what ends up happening with Streveler? I do think he could help us being on the field - he is athletic and has some speed and size - but right now he's looking like odd man out.

Probably just continues to be a wildcat QB this season and finishes out his career at a different position after having an entire offseason to work on it.

Jumping in here to say that "What A Time to Be Alive" is a rap album released on Sunday night by Future and Drake. It was very anticipated and basically exploded on Twitter — including the hashtag #WATTBA. Also, Drake uses the "prayer hands" emoji a lot, which could explain why Croft chose to use that photo.

Sure, he could be referring to both the album AND some good news he received, but thought I'd clear up any confusion.

EDIT: right before the tweet posted above, Croft retweeted someone saying "Future And Drake Going Crazy"

Well, that shows how connected we all are to today's music

Great example of reading between the lines instead of reading the actual lines. Thanks for enlightening "us."

If we're going to play Croft, lets' get his training going fast and keep playing him... short of every series INT kinda bad.

May as well invest in the dude now vs Ohio rather than do that later vs Ohio St.

At the same time I'd be tempted to bust some OL redshirts too, to give that line any help it could get.

Huh...well, that's embarrassing.

I think the other interpretation is more interesting. Quit being a truth monger.

Annnnd there ya go. This settles it.

Try to keep up. Croft has been #2 for a while now.

Streveler was listed as #2 on the Kent St. depth chart. I'm not sure they would have gone to Croft for sure had Mitch gotten hurt. Long term yeah they would rather play Croft rather than Streveler.

We will agree to disagree. CS5 has been listed on the depth chart as #2 all year. HOWEVER, DC11 has gotten all snaps with the #2s at warm-ups the last 2 games and is the one that was warming up with Bobek snapping to him on the sidelines during the 2nd half against Kent State. Further, CS5 has had his number changed so he can play on special teams while JM5 is out there. Not really what you do with your #2 QB. Sure, if it is for just a play they will run the Wildcat with CS5, but it is very obvious to me who the #2 QB on this team is. I also believe you will most likely see him play this weekend. I think the depth chart is BS.

I'm 22, listen to rap music, and still had no idea.... /facepalm

Agreed. We don't need to go Steve Spurrier on it and rotate every play, but college teams use multiple QB's all the time.

Get out of here with your facts and rational explanations.

I thought we were going with Air Croft.
