Lots of talk about selling out, but the bigger piece now is when that sellout crowd arrives. I'm going to be disheartened if it's a late-arriving crowd one week from today. It's a (really) late kick, it's the highest-ranked team we've ever had at TCF, it's the season opener.

Do what you can to be in your seats by 7:59pm! Not at the gates, not waiting in the security line, not trying to grab a beer or use the restroom ... at your seats. Plan ahead, make the extra effort to pay the tab or pack up the tailgate a little earlier than you think you need to. Those of you in groups, be the annoying one that prods everyone else to get their act together and to the stadium on time. I want the place to be thunderous when our men come out of the tunnel! I'm talking VaTech Enter Sandman levels of noise and chaos.

It's probably a pipe dream but every extra bit will help.

How about 7:15 - 7:30? Set the atmosphere early, get the place rockin' and off the hook when they come out for warm ups. 7:59 is too late in my opinion.

YES! Get in early, enjoy the band show. Get the place rockin' right away. Plus with a 7:45 sunset there are sure to be some awesome photo ops.

You are preaching to the choir.

I hear ya, I just really hope people don't give into their groups' desire to "have just one more" and/or lose track of time.

Even better. 7:59 should be the absolute latest as it will allow people to cheer the team coming onto the field, but earlier is better.

Yes get in for the pregame show.

Always enjoy the band pregame tradition.

Gopher senior here- I will be in the lower part of the upper deck student section well before 7:30. Game starts at 8, stadium opens at 6:30, gopher freshmen will be there early because they get free tix.

Will be interesting to see how the mechanics of getting a full crowd in the stadium goes. Vikings handle it fine, but Gophers haven't had this issue since the Wisconsin game 2 years ago.

My memory from the Wisconsin game was the concourse was so congested that I lost a quarter to get one beer, and decided that would be my last excursion until game end.

It's just an entertainment event. Enjoy the show any way you wish. Just make sure you cheer for the good guys in Maroon and Gold! I couldn't care less if you show up early or late, just stay down in front so I can see the show!

Please tell me this is sarcasm font. Yes everyone should be in their seats SEATED the whole game because it would be awful to have to stand! /s
Sorry, I don't want to turn this thread into a sit vs. stand debate.

I'm thinking that had more to do with the absolutely brutal cold on that day then it did having the sellout. My lord, that was was just miserably frigid. When it's freezing, people tend to cluster in the concourse and restrooms for a bit of extra warmth.

I'll have my group of 10 in our seats by 7:45.

246, row 2-3, loud and proud.

But the later I arrive, the more beer I can drink before the game.

I'm leavin work at noonish. Driving across the great state of Wisconsin. Dropping my kid off. Meeting a buddy and his wife. And I'll be there in my seat at kickoff.

Ski u mah!

The people not there at kickoff (there will be some) are not the ones on the forum.

Hey tiny - hope you are not sitting behind me....you might have a bad night!

I seriously doubt that tiny will actually be at the game.
If he is hopefully it is in the outdoor club seats where he can sit on his duff and count his dollar bills with the rest of em. If he is behind me, it will be a long night too.
