They are getting to the point where there are only single seat tickets left through the ticket office. They indicated if those sell, they will consider SRO tickets at the gate. I checked stub hub and ticket master and the prices seem to be dropping a bit. With 11 days left SRO is now a reality

Yes, looks like only a few hundred cheap seats are left. There are a couple thousand on Stubhub.

This is interesting because a group of coworkers just picked up 8 tickets together today. Said they were in section 236. I was surprised they found 8 together. Maybe they got them off stubhub, I didn't ask.

Ticketmaster has about 500 left. Prices extremely high in the lower levels. Upper not bad.

Wow! It happened again on the GopherHole. Chicken Little, as usual, was wrong when he panicked about the ticket sales. But that is okay, reading all those posts were better than reading more regurgitated Leidner posts.

Just called and got a single for the TCU game. He said the top few rows of the east corner are still available. Other than that, all singles. He confirmed that it will be a sell out. Also, didn't have any numbers, but student sales are stronger this year

Got word it is extremely close to a sell out right now, and is expected to be official soon

MyGopherSports has big chunks available in 230 and 231.

Did they release standing room only tickets? A coworker claimed she picked up a "general admission" ticket yesterday. Not sure what that means.

Just checked the seating grid. By my count only 11 or 12 complete rows left for sale. That's with 8 days left! SELL OUT!!!!!!!!

Did a rough count of seats available by section on mygophersports, here's the latest:

Seats available: 619
Upper deck: 543
Lower deck: 76

Sections with the most seats available:
Section 231: 123 seats
Section 230: 110 seats
Section 220: 96 seats
Section 246: 90 seats
Section 237: 11 seats
Section 207: 11 seats

All other sections have 10 or fewer seats remaining, almost entirely singles.

There is still approximately 1800 unsold tickets on Stubhub.
Let's hope that most of them move. We do not want to see 1000 empty seats.

Didn't Nebraska and Wisc fans have to buy two tckets (one of our non-conference games) and their own game. I would bet that most of the STub Hub tickets are from those two sources. Hope they can't sell them even if those seats are empty.

I would assume they would buy tickets for Kent State because it's cheaper?

Unless they bought the TCU tickets thinking they could sell them more easily and make up the difference in price (~$20 at the lowest end - $95 vs $115).

Either way, the ticket office will be sold out of them soon and the secondary market will start to move a bit more. Still expect there will be a few hundred left unsold from the secondary sites but whatever. TCF will be pretty packed. I just hope at this point that it's pretty packed by 7:59pm.

Those seats will sell. Scalpers have already purchased their tickets and invested the money, and unlike the athletic department 90% will lower their prices (if necessary) to make sure to sell their tickets.

Also, FWIW the LivingSocial deal is still live, which likely means the ticket office has blocked off a set of seats somewhere in the stadium to fulfill Living Social orders... so unfortunately we are probably more than 619 seats away from a sellout.

I wonder if they have already started releasing them. I looked at the seating chart a few days ago and I don't remember there being that many in section 220 and 246. Maybe I'm wrong.

I was wondering about that. I know 246 use to be the visitors section. Now there seems to be about a 1000 tickets left and about 2500 on the aftermarket.

Latest from my rough counting:

Seats available: 571
Upper deck: 496
Lower deck: 75

Sections with the most seats available:
Section 220: 111 seats (this is up from yesterday, must have released some Living Social tickets?)
Section 231: 108 seats
Section 230: 107 seats
Section 246: 54 seats

The remaining 191 seats are all singles.

I have no doubt the game will sell out, just wonder how many will actually show. when you consider stubhub, scalpers and other avenues its reasonable to assume that there are about 5k seats still available for the taking and that's 10% of our stadium which isn't a good look.

I'm not too worried, I would guess the normal walk up sales, between the ticket office and scalpers, are in the 3K range. If the ticket office is sold out their normal sales number will soak up any remaining tickets that scalpers have.

Even if there are 3K tickets left unsold (through scalpers or secondary market), how full it seems will depend on how those tickets are distributed. 1500 seats in two of the corners? Not going to look great. 1-2 seats in every row left unfilled? It will still look jam packed.

And lots of people I know post their tickets for big games (not just Gophers - - Vikes/Wild/etc.) on Stubhub/Criagslist/etc. fishing for a good enough price, but will use them otherwise.

I've been watching stubhub. 1788 tickets 3:30 Yesterday. Actually more today at 3:30 1835. I agree alot of these people will use them if they cannot sell.

True, but there are probably a few Husker an Sconnie fans who bought TCU tickets in they 2 Pick-a-Pair package and won't be able to unload them.

That won't break my heart either.

TCU wasn't part of the 2 game package. At least I thought.

It was included- I picked TCU and Michigan. Looking forward to my first trip back to the new "Brickhouse"
