Huff will play

True freshman linebacker Julian Huff has emerged as a blitzing force for the second-team defense. The 5-11, 220-pounder sacked Jacques Perra for a 6-yard loss on third down in the scrimmage, forcing a field goal, and also stuffed running back Shannon Brooks for no-gain on third-and-goal.

“Julian will play for us, ain’t no doubt about that,” Kill said. “He adds depth on special teams. He can do a lot of different things in some of our packages we put together. So, yeah, he’s a good player.”

Go Gophers!!

Kill and staff are elite talent evaluators. How many 2-3 stars can they put in the NFL? Not many, because they will soon be putting 3-4 stars in the NFL. Wells, Thompson, Murray, Johnson, Travis, BBC will make 6 "also-ran" recruits that this staff (kudos Sawvel) put in the NFL.

Not gonna lie I was very 'meh' on the Huff twins initially last year. Shows what I know. Both have impressed and really it has to do with the speed I couldn't see well on film I guess

The thing with the Huff boys is.. they love to hit and hit big. Anvil in the shoulder pads type hit. I love it

Ditto.

Didn't their mom say she wanted them to play for Jerry Kill, and drove them up here from Illinois to personally deliver them to Jerry Kill?

I said a while back somewhere that you guys were getting a couple real football players. I maintain that Julian was the best defender on his high school team which includes a Notre Dame and Ohio State prospect. The kid makes a presence.

I suspect, as usual, the knock on him is his height. Looking at his film, he can fly, lays the wood as a tackler, and has a real nose for the football. Looks like another underrated 2 star prospect (Rivals).

Sorry. If he was a 2-star then I can't get excited no matter what Kill says.
