2015 Gophers at NFL Combine Update Thread (Williams, Cobb, Wilson)

17 reps for Cobb. Obviously much less important for a RB than a TE.

Williams looks like the most "natural" TE out there, especially catching the ball. He doesn't look real explosive, but he looks very consistent.

So folks like Maxx so much they will argue any number he puts up. Other folks will just argue anything. GH at its best.

That's what happens when you gather a whole bunch of wanna be's, has been's and never been's in one forum. It can be painful to read at times.

Is that what we were arguing? I got the feeling the discussion was about whether the press was a good measure for NFL talent above and beyond on field performance.

Yep. Nope.

You mean I'm the only hall of famer on this board? Darn it, wrong board. Can you tell me where the hall of famer board is...who wants to hang around talking to a bunch of losers.

Damien measured 6-0 but had 33, 3/4 arms, longer than Maxx and third longest arms out of 34 LBs at the combine! Not surprising from a Jerry Kill LB recruit. Speed and length.

Excited to see how Cobb runs today. I think 4.5 would be good for him.

4.55-4.60 would probably raise his stock a little bit. 4.60-4.68 wouldn't change his stock and anything slower would hurt him IMO.

I'm thinking roughly the same. Anything between 4.5-4.58 would be good. And 4.58-4.64 would be satisfactory. That's how I see it. Clearly he's not a burner, but to show some speed with his vision would help him a lot.

4.61 for Abdullah's first run

Cobb hurt himself. Looked fast until pulling up.

Commentators seemed to think that he may be done for the day. Hope it was just a cramp and he'll be out there for his second attempt.

I hope you mean yikes because he got hurt during his run and is done for the day and not yikes because of his time which would be much faster had that not happened. Luckily he will get another chance at the pro day.

Yes that is what I meant. A 4.8 is worse than many offensive linemen. Clearly a result of the injury.

Wow, didn't realize that two RBs at the combine are from MN in NDSU's Josh Crocket who played for Totino Grace and SDSU's Zack Zenner from Eagan. That would have been extremely depressing if Cobb didn't get a combine invite.
