I know we are on a 4 game home win streak and we beat them at home last year but I like our chances at MSU and at Iowa better than Wiscy at home.

7-11 probably will be, but 6-12 probably not. I think this team can manage to win 1 of those road games. If Illinois can beat Michigan State at East Lansing and Northwestern and a depleted Michigan team can take them to overtime there, we should have a decent chance.
 

Nice to be on the other side of another game that ended up being close. Got a little nervous when Purdue got the 2 lucky banked in 3's that this might end up bad again for the Gophers but glad to see the guys not let that happen. The defense was very solid really thought we did a pretty nice job with Hammons and Haas inside and the press to start the 2nd half was probably the best it has been in league play. Missed some real good looks today but I thought the ball movement was pretty good for most of the game the times when the offense got ugly was when Morris really tried to force something that wasn't there instead of just moving the ball and trusting you will get a good look eventually. Morris did a nice job in the press creating turnovers but he really needs to learn to just let the game come to him on the offensive end instead of forcing stuff especially when you get a break as he was lucky he didn't end up with another couple of charge calls. Hopefully we can go on the road and find a way to go get a win or 2 next week.

Yeah no kidding. Morris can be very good at times offensively, but that's the most forced shots/drives in a game I have ever seen from one player.

He might be the first player to never throw a pass in a game.

At times he plays like he is still in high school and Juco ball when he could probably do just about anything he wanted. Instead of forcing things, he just needs to play within the offense.

Good win. Get to 7-11, win at least two games in the B1G Tournament and we have a shot at the NCAAs. Pretty crazy to say that considering where this team was a couple weeks ago. I want to say this team is a whisper away from having 2-3 more wins, but which team isn't?

Either way, it was good to see them win at home (even though I missed the game).

Looking at the remaining schedules, I think the Gophers best chance is to pass Nebraska. After Penn State today, all of Nebraska's final games are against teams currently 6-5 or better in the Big Ten. And more road games than home.

I think this would require the Gophers to get to at least 7 wins though. It's hard to imagine Nebraska wouldn't win at least 1 or maybe 2 of their home games remaining.

7-11 isn't even getting them in the NCAA conversation. You're dreaming. They get in only by winning the B1G tourney or getting to 9-9 in the conference, with a win in the B1G tourney.

Todays game was much better in regard to valuing the basketball...with one exception. Morris had some terrible shot choices that allowed Purdue to stay in the game. Sadly our bench is not deeper or Morris would be living on the end of the pines with his shot selection.

I thought our defensive pressure was excellent. Our rotations on defense were really solid. Purdue made some ridiculous three point shots to close out the game that no one would have expected to go in.

Overall, this was one of the better games the team has had as a whole. Now to go and produce on the road.

I still don't anticipate any wins away from the Barn, but here's to hoping for a miracle.
 


Anyways, great win by the guys today. Another great performance from Andre, so hopefully that continues, along with great defense from the whole team. Can't get caught up in this NCAA, NIT, CBI crap right now. Really hope they can build on this and figure out how to play on the road at some point this season. Even though it's too late, this team is getting on the right track and I like it.

7-11 won't cut it. No way.

Need to get to 9-9 and win a couple of tournament games.

I think 7-11 would only get us in if we had beaten two, or maybe even all three, of Louisville, St. John's, and Gonzaga out of conference. Illinois got a 7 seed in 2013 with an 8-10 conference record, with a neutral site win over eventual 6 seed Butler and a road win over 1 seed Gonzaga out of conference, plus a Big Ten tournament win (over us, freaking Brandon Paul). Plus I think the Big Ten was just stronger that year than this year. At 7-11, even a run the Big Ten Tournament championship might not be enough for the NCAA tournament.

But seriously, the pressure seems to be taken off of these guys and there's more positivity surrounding the program as of the past 2 weeks, and they finally seem to be comfortable for once. It's easy to see watching their demeanors on the court. These next two games are going to be a b**** though.

Agree..in my Predict the Score for our next game at Iowa, I picked a Hawkeye win. I hate doing that, but let's be real.

Loved the energy of the team & the crowd today. Got goose bumps when the place got cranked up in the early minutes of the 2nd half. Our guys played hard, very hard. We got some calls to go our way, they got some bounces. Made for a whale of a game. The Barn is very much alive & well, thanks to all who attended and participated.
 

Haven't got a chance to watch the game yet, was only able to follow it a little on my phone while at work, but Purdue only shot 5 free throws? Seems like pretty good defense without fouling. Win that next one!
