Yes, he's done a nice job of making up for the lack of Big Mo in the first half. Very solid guy who is very likable if you accept who he is and who he isn't.
 

Doesn't feel like a double digit lead but I won't argue with the results.
 

Mason and Squirrel were doing some weird stuff in their free throw shots. Lack of confidence on the line. They need to knock it off.
 

Positive last 6 minutes or so without Mo or EE on the floor. We rebounded well and kept the lead at around the same level, which has to be seen as a victory.
 

Man, I do not feel comfortable with this lead, but this is a senior-laden team. Hopefully we can hold on. Wish we had better free throw shooting though.

We're shooting 79%.
 

Glad to see we continue to force turnovers against big ten teams too.
 

Am I the only one who thinks that we will be upgrading at the PG position next year with Mason starting? Lil Dre is pretty dang solid in his own right but Mason has looked very good off of the bench. This is no knock on lil Dre either

This is the kind of comment that seems like a waste of 'thinking'. Yes, lets wish away our last year with him on the team
 



We seem to have second half issues. I was really hoping we could start the second half on a run and just bury them early.

Yes. Mason may end up being better but lil Dre is extremely good at penetrating the defense and creating turnovers. One of the best point guards we've had in a long time.
 

Hate to say it - but I'd like to see Mason for Hollins as well.

Purdue is hitting everything to start the second half, we're not. I don't think Purdue can continue at this pace, where I know we can (game tempo).

Going on one of those cold streaks again.
 

Can somebody actually dribble the ball down the court and make a decent pass or pull it back out? The last few breaks have resulted in out of control dribbling followed by piss poor passing. Either a bullet to somebody two feet away or a bounce pass to a 7 footers foot.
 

We've really gotten away from the ball movement that worked so well in the first half. Need to slow it down and not force it when the opportunity isn't there.

I agree... Mason looks as comfortable with the ball as any freshmen gaurd in the B10 and will be a better scorer than Dre.
Im not knocking the lil speed demon Dre either,
but this year he hasn't looked like the Dre from the NIT last year.
Hope he gets back to that form early in Big Ten play.

Not really much of a sample size to say they're hitting everything. They've made like 3 shots.

Seriously?? Are you sure we're talking about the same player? DeAndre has been awesome so far this year. His scoring maybe isn't always there but he has been incredible distributing the ball and playing defense.

Amen. Either way its nice to be able to have one of those guys come off of the bench
 


That foul call on lil Dre was hilarious. There wasn't even any contact.
 

lol, King is a shot fake robot... even when nobody is guarding him, he shot fakes.
