Transfer Portal 2024

Paige and Azzi are only ones I'd count as major

If it's true, the timing may be of interest - right after the Sarah Strong commitment

Maybe Lucy Olsen would like to reunite with Mara Braun from the 3 on 3 league and come to MN??? Sounds like Iowa is in heavy pursuit to replace CC.

Raegan Beers from Oregon State has entered the portal..

17.5 ppg 10.3 rpg

X post from Raoul:
The entry of Raegan Beers, Lily Hansford, Donovyn Hunter, and Martha Pietsch into the portal leaves Oregon State WBB with four returnees for 2024-25 (with no commits); their entire five-member 2022 recruiting class is in the portal

What the? Anyone have any specific information why this is happening? Certainly easy to assume that players are looking for more money or a bigger school but that wouldn't seem to explain the decommits from the incoming players.

Yikes is it the conference change, coach leaving? Something off at Oregon State.

From the Athletic article posted above (Chantel Jennings):

With Oregon State moving to the West Coast Conference, it’s not surprising to see multiple Beavers in the portal as they’re likely in the market to remain at the power conference level.

Oregon State goes from maybe the best women's basketball conference to a one-bid conference. Not at all surprising that folks are bailing. Trying to remember if, in the case of Paurova, the PAC-12 had already fallen apart when she picked Oregon State...

USC and UCLA were officially added to the Big10 on December 14 2022. She committed to OSU in mid-April of 2023.

Thanks for that context. The PAC12 hadn't fallen apart at that point but the writing was certainly starting to appear on the wall...

Welcome Annika.

Like the Stewart pickup. Can shoot the 3. The Gophers can play differently on offense when she is on the floor instead of Hart, perhaps opening up driving lanes for others. Was puzzled by her downward trend at Nebraska, with her senior year being her career low in minutes by a good margin. Seems like Nebraska recruited over her.

I see a big Grad year for her! Good get!

Liz Karlan next for Grad year to MN! Could really help give AJ, Holloway, Dalan developments too.

I like the addition of an experienced post. She was injured and missed 8 games. Sounded like she was playing better at the end of the year.

Thought she played well in the Big Ten Tourney, but the minutes were still low: 4, 0, 13, 4. Easy to understand why she wanted to play elsewhere for her COVID year.
