While the Gophers basketball coaching staff was hosting Reid Travis on his official visit, the 2014 recruiting class got a big boost in the backcourt as 5-11, 160lb Maryland guard Nate Mason committed to Minnesota early Friday evening over offers from Virginia, Kansas State, Memphis, Clemson amongst others.
