Week 3 Gophers in the NFL
This was the week of a lot of firsts for many Gopher players. Jordan Howden made his first career start, Blake Cashman had his first career interception, Terell Smith recorded his NFL statistics, and Nick Rallis got his first career win as an NFL DC.
Blake Cashman had an eventful first start of the season. He finished the game with his first career interception, along with 6 tackles (2 solo), 2 passes defended, and 1 fumble recovery in the Texans big win over the Jaguars. Cashman has 6 tackles (2 solo), 2 passes defended, 1 interception, and 1 FR.
Benjamin St. Juste had 7 tackles (5 solo) and 1 pass defended in a blowout loss to the Bills. BSJ has 16 tackles (9 solo), and 1 pass defended so far this season.
Antoine Winfield Jr. had 11 tackles (4 solo) in the Bucs loss against the Eagles. AWJ has 22 tackles (9 solo), 1 sack, 1 FF/FR, and 3 passes defended so far this season.
Jack Gibbens had 8 tackles (4 solo) in the Titans loss to the Browns. Gibbens has 20 tackles (10 solo) so far this season.
Jordan Howden made his first career NFL start in the Saints loss to the Packers. He recorded his first career statistics as well, finishing the game with 4 tackles (1 solo) and 1 pass defended. Howden has 4 tackles (1 solo) and 1 pass defended so far this season.
Ko Kieft played, but did not record any stats in the Bucs loss against the Eagles.
Daniel Faalele participated on special teams, but did not start in the Ravens loss to the Colts. He has appeared in all 3 games so far this season.
Rashod Bateman had 1 catch for 6 yards in the Ravens loss to the Colts. Bateman has 7 catches this season for 59 yards so far this season.
John Michael Schmitz started at Center for the Giants for the third straight week in the Giants loss to the 49ers.
Devondre Campbell had 1 tackle before getting injured in the Packers win over the Saints. He left in the first half with an ankle injury. Campbell has 22 tackles (11 solo) so far this season.
Terell Smith recorded his first NFL statistics with 10 tackles (7 solo), and 1 pass defended in the Bears loss against the Chiefs. He has 10 tackles (7 solo) and 1 pass defended so far this season.
Eric Murray had 5 tackles (3 solo) and a forced fumble in the Texans upset win over the Jaguars. Murray has 11 tackles (7 solo) and 1 forced fumble so far this season.
Carter Coughlin recorded his first tackle of the season in the Giants loss to the 49ers. He has 1 tackle (1 solo) so far this season.
Boye Mafe collected his first sack of the season after sitting out last week. Mafe currently has 6 tackles (5 solo) and 1 sack so far this season.
Nick Rallis got his first win as an NFL DC with a big upset win over the Cowboys.
