The Gophers basketball team received welcome news from the NCAA that in-coming transfer Dawson Garcia is immediately eligible to play this season. Garcia, a former McDonald’s All-American and Minnesota Mr. Basketball in 2020 was a huge commitment for Ben Johnson and the Gophers. The Prior Lake native, Garcia will be expected to be one of the centerpieces of the Gophers this upcoming season. Garcia joins the Gophers after spending his freshman year at Marquette and a portion of his sophomore year at North Carolina.
