Gopher Football
Just a week after declaring my belief in Notre Dame, the Irish responded with a sloppy offensive performance, and on defense showed an inability to stop the big Wolverine passing plays (and Michigan averaged only about 120 passing yards per game coming in…) The vast contrast in performance by the Irish in one week to the next once again has me confused about them, but it looks once again as if their defense will keep them from being a top 5 team at the end of the year.
Louisville also jumps into the top 10 after their 31-7 drubbing of Miami (Fla). The key for Louisivlle the next few weeks will be if they can survive the loss of their starting QB for the next 4-6 weeks, but backup Hunter Cantwell filled in nicely today going 3/4 for 113 yards in relief of Brian Brohm.
