GopherHole.com Staff Picks – Week 4

Over the course of the college football season, the GopherHole.com writers will be engaging in an intense battle to see who is the most intelligent (or luckiest) football fan of the bunch. Each week we will give our predictions for each Big Ten game along with a few national games. To make things more interesting, a special guest will make his/her predictions each week as well, along with a member of The Hole. We’ll be charting the results all season and come January we will know without a doubt who the smartest (or luckiest) person is.

Simply put, this week’s celebrity guest is one of the best running backs in Gopher history as he sits a top of almost every rushing category
including: career rushing (4,654 yards), rushing TDs (40), 100-yard rushing games (23) and all-purpose yards (5,109 yards). He is, of course, Darrell Thompson.

Following his career with the Gophers, Thompson was a first round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers where he played five years before retiring. The Rochester, MN native is now the executive director of Bolder Options and is also part of WCCO Radio’s Golden Gopher football radio team.
