per Judd:

We were told Mitch Leidner was dealing with damaged ligaments and a dislocated toe in his left foot and that was a reason why he struggled in 2015. We were told that Leidner gained 20 pounds because he had to wear a walking boot much of the time and that was a reason why he struggled. We were informed by ESPN’s Todd McShay this past spring that a year from now Leidner might be worthy of being a first-round pick in the NFL draft.

All of this was an attempt to provide optimism that Lakeville Mitch might be able to turn a corner and help the Gophers achieve success against what appeared to be a rather soft Big Ten schedule.

Congratulations to you if you didn’t buy into any of this nonsense.

Go Gophers!!

So, Captain Obvious, you're saying that we need a new quarterback?

Mitch is one of our best players.

The OL today was horrid on pass protection.
