Let's just win and roll on. We've been at the bottom before too. It's no fun.
 

Overall it was a reasonable discussion, but like Slab of Bacon just said, the Gophers have been at the bottom too. Though, unlike the Rutgers fans in that thread, many Gopher "fans" seem to revel in it.

Better make that Gopher "posters" instead.:cool:
 

Looking at it from their perspective, this game was probably cicled on their schedule as "winnable", and who can blame them? There really isn't anything we've done yet that would lead them to believe they don't have a shot.
 

One of the posters said that MN is more disciplined than Rutgers. If that's true, this may be a bloodbath, because this Gopher team is far from disciplined at this point.

I actually thought most of the comments were rather reasonable and intelligent. Sure, you have one big time homer who started the thread, but the rest of the commentators weren't sharing his vision.
 

They are Buttgers with a first year head coach less experienced as a head coach then ours. Let them believe they can win. Will make the game more entertaining. Nice that someone else is now the conferences complete bottom feeder. There is a reason New Jersey kids leave to go to schools all over the country, it's cause Buttgers campus is a dump.

This is what you're supposed to do when you post about another team's message board. Take the most ridiculous opinion stated, apply it the majority, if not all, of the posters there, and share it on your own team's board, and mock it relentlessly. Like when someone sarcastically predicts the Gophers to go 13-0 at the start of the season, and it ends up on buckyville as "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL goophy fanz think there gonna be national champs!!!11!! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:"

There could be a thread here with 1,000 posts and 999 would say Wisconsin's defense is good while 1 post says they aren't that good, and there's a good chance buckyville would have a thread talking about how MN fans don't think their defense is very good.
 


Interesting to peruse their comments, but its always sort of a gut punch to see some of the perceptions... on target or not.

We do that too...Beavcoon is much better and seems to have some sort of inside tract. (Dripping with Sarcasm).

That happens in our own threads as well. There are tons of reasonable conversations that go on here with lots of give and take on the good and the bad with the program but there are always the posters that seize on the over the top negative and positive comments made by some and act like that is the opinion of everyone on the board.
 

My amusement stems from the fact that their discussion of their upcoming opponent turned into an argument over what the betting line should be.
