Xavier making shots was impressive (again) last night against #2 Kansas St. While the Gophers stayed with Xavier for a half, it's pretty clear that if you can't make a big basket after a big basket, Xavier can. Shame one team had to lose in their game last night. 2 OT - what a great game.

gophers losing to Xavier

One never likes a loss, but losing to Xavier by 10, doesnt hurt quite as bad. Crawford and Holloway will be making millions. It would be nice to have an athlete and player like either one of these guards.

Amazing that Xavier shot 9-for-42 (21%) in the first half against us. We should have been ahead by 10-15 points at half time, then we might have held on when X got hot in the 2nd half. Our offense just was never good enough in that game.

This is exactly what frustrated me about that game. Had we built the lead we should have had going into halftime, the storm of the second half could have been weathered. Well, at least we lost to a sweet sixteen team that was a double OT away from the Elite Eight.

For that matter, at least we didn't lose to Cornell.
