Edit: I've read from Husker fans that their coaching staff (as well as other staffs that recruited him) wanted him to play as an edge rusher? And that he wants to play WR. Interesting if true.

Not only that, but I think PJ observed a slight modernization of his offense this year and liked what he saw. All these receivers and then a running back like Cabana, who looks taylor made if you will, to catch the ball out of the backfield like Darius. PJ appears to be retooling his offense to get athletic guys the ball in space and I’m all for it!

Randy's case the circumstances were different but none the less this is a great get for Fleck and staff. Brought in three very good wr transfers to go with Brockington. Between the hose guys and some of the young guys will see who emerges

I seem to recall us being pretty “in on him” coming out of high school. Never took an official here, but I’m guessing a relationship was built back then.

If he’s being considered as an edge by some coaching staffs, then they must think he can add some weight to his 210 pound frame. Maybe he can add 25 pounds of muscle and be similar to DK Metcalf!

Regarding the bolded:

I am really happy to see that the young man is focused on becoming the best player he can be, with help from coaching. It shows self-awareness and maturity in that he apparently recognizes the fact that he's not a superstar quite yet, but he has high aspirations for himself.
 


He sure didn't get to play much for the Huskers while he was here in Lincoln. Certainly, there was a lot of excitement when he signed, but he never really saw the field. He was injured for a while, but couldn't break the top 5 receivers at Nebraska. Hopefully a change of scenery will help.
