Mo's production was in 15min of floor time. If he has the stamina, as a freshman, to start & go for 30 minutes he'de have had a double-double.

He's going to make some nice contributions to the Gophs. :)

If RS3 continues to struggle, do we expect Mo to take a decent amount of his playing time when we get into the Big Ten season?

Hopefully, Mo works hard during the season and is able to drop some lbs. during the season. If he keeps playing well and maintains his aggressive attitude, he will continue to steal minutes from Iverson and Sampson. I would welcome a change shortly.

The lack of consistent effort by this two is incredible frustrating to watch and, as juniors, shouldn't occur game in and game out. They both have the talent to be successful but aren't utilizing it.

The big "IF" factor.

It would make my year to see Mo push Sullinger around when we play Ohio State.

How does RS3 go from being world beater the first few outings to being average at best? Beginning to think he may be a mental midget.

Very impressed with Mo. He's really skilled and has a great feel for the game. He moves well without the ball and understands positioning. He gets rebounds by being in the right place - very Dusty-like.

Great comparison. Obviously Mo looks nothing like Dusty, but he has a similar knack for finding rebounds, getting in good positions, and finishing despite decidedly non-elite athleticism.

Love Walker. He is going to be good (and already is). He understands the game and makes smart decisions, doesn't force shots. Last night, he got it inside, didn't have a shot and quickly kicked it out to Hoff for a huge three in the second half. When Sampson and Iverson get the ball inside, more often than not, they force shots or create turnovers. They rarely kick it back out, especially in a timely fashion as Walker did. Those two are really frustrating me. They should be better, or at least making better decisions, by year three. The inconsistency is maddening.

I believe I heard tubby say that Mo's mother and father both played bball and his father coached as well. Tubby said he knows the game.

When your body is a 7' by 7' by 7' cube, it easy to be in the right position.

Though Colt has played some very good games, whenever he gets the ball and starts to dribble you know he is going to shoot the ball with zero chance of the ball coming back out.

I've been thinking - why do you think the freshmen have been so effective? I think it's because they're savvy beyond their years. Both Mo and Hollins are coaches' kids, and they play like it. Maverick plays smart, composed and poised as well. And Chip doesn't freak out out there either. None of these freshmen play like freshmen.

Walker

I've been especially surprised by his decision making on when to shoot and when to pass, apart from the notorious quick 3 against North Carolina.

FOT and one other person have compared him physically to the late Kevin Duckworth and I agree. Mo has the same size and soft hands that Duck had.
