...since Tubby Smith took over as coach. I can't imagine a more disasterous beginning to a half. That lead was te worst thing that could have happened to Minny. I say this all the time, but this is a strange and bizarre team. Weird things always happen to these guys.

reminds me of the Virgina game in 2010.......same crap...no focus....no intensity....no free throws......

Yahoo! boxscore says Gophers W by 10. Is that wrong?

Trevor was on fire tonight. He was throwing his body all over the place. Sampson and Nolan played great games too. Hoff could not hit anything but the rest of his game was sound. Rodney gave us our dunk fix. Hollins played well and the other 2 gaurds gave us some good court time.

Where was Colton? He seemed without focus. Missing easy shots that he should just slam. Picking up dumb fouls.

You are right we won by 10. Nothing is wrong with that.

Happy with the win.

Gophers seem to play to the level of the competition. My wild theory is that this is due to the quiet nature of the senior leaders. Al and Hoff are not likely going to get on their teammates to keep up the pressure. I wonder if this was what Tubby meant by senior leader issues. If Trevor had played for a few years, I think he would get on his teammates to not let up. Just a theory.

Gopher in Texas (sorry off thread, my apologies) thanks soooo much for the link. Couldn't get the stream but the radio was great. First time I was able to catch a game since the exhibitions in Canada. Really appreciate it.

You are welcome. There have been several occasions where others have provided stream links which have made my day as I was able to see the Golden Gopher Basketball game.

Good thing about the Gophers moving up in the rankings is that hopefully ESPN will pack up more of their games and the out-of-state fans won't have to work around the Big Ten Network.
