Iowa did all it could to hand the game to MN today, but we were simply not ready to play on offense. The team is discombulated, poor play call, horrible QB play. Brewster is the head coach, he has to go.

agree - I was there

here are two (there are many more) that really highlight the incompetence of this satff

1) in the third quarter we had it on about the Iowa (after the roughing the kicker call) 2nd and two and we coud not get the first down - what drove me nuts is we burned two time outs on that series - the second was on the 4th and one play - Fisch has this stupid process of signaling in the plays which is really annnoying and clearly not understood by the players - Gray was in the huddle and Alipate (I think) is waving his arms with all this BS signaling and Gray is clueless as to what the play was supposed to be - it was clear thay had the wrong personnel in there for whatever play it was so with 15 seconds left on the play clock they switch out about 3-4 players - finally they call time out - and then they bring in Weber? wtf?? - granted it looked like a bad spot but they had three cracks to gain two yards and couldn't

2) throwing the ball when we are inside the five yard line - on the first and goal from the 2 in the 4th quarter they ran three plays out of the shot gun - two attempted passes - granted the O line is strugggling but this is deja vu - remember the Illinios game we had it first and goal on the one and got sacked - remember the Wisconsin game we had it first and goal and ran that agony fade to the corner of the end zone and got called for the chop block - both those games we lost by three points - and today - wtf - you would think after losing two games with that philosophy they would just man up and try to pound it in - if not then you unbuckle your chin strap and leave the ball on the goal line - in each of these situations we had the ball first and goal on the one and left it on or around the 10

3) they were 4 for 20 on third down today - wtf?

Obviously not much of a fan if you didn't watch two pretty famous games against Michigan, a game against Purdue, a game against Northwestern, and a game against Texas Tech. All of these could have been taken over by a Hampster in the 4th quarter and we would have won the game.

This isn't even Brewster's worst coached game in the past two weeks, SDSU was worse.

As bad as the offense was, and the coaching and execution there, lets not forget that Cosgrove and Lee did one hell of a job keeping it close. Well timed/called blitzes saved this game from being another blowout.

Oh, and Brewster did manage to hire Cosgrove and promote Lee to co-D-coordinators, so he did get something right this year.

Brilliant first post.

I loved it. The more of these posts the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Brewster sucks and no matter how good he treats his players or how much of a family they are to each other the results on the field are all that matter buddy.
