Looks like the International University Sports Federation has a "World Championship" playoff going in american football. Yesterday the University of Uppsala (Sweden) defeated some team from China. https://www.flickr.com/photos/studentidrott/sets/72157644502064391/#. Wonder if they'll include FSU in next year's playoffs? Here's the schedule.

Date Match Time: Local (ET)
Fri 05-02 China vs Finland 15:00 (9:00am ET)
Fri 05-02 Sweden vs Mexico 18:30 (12:30pm ET)
Sun 05-04 Finland vs Japan 13:00 (7:00am ET)
Sun 05-04 Sweden vs China 17:00 (11:00am ET)
Tue 05-06 Mexico vs Finland 15:00 (9:00am ET)
Tue 05-06 China vs Japan 18:30 (12:30pm ET)
Thu 05-08 Japan vs Sweden 18:30 (12:30pm ET)
Fri 05-09 Mexico vs China 18:30 (12:30pm ET)
Sat 05-10 Finland vs Sweden 16:00 (10:00am ET)
Sun 05-11 Japan vs Mexico 16:00 (10:00am ET)

Typically they leave the US out of these competitions because it's simply a joke when we're involved. There is a world championship of american football hosted by the IFAF, which the US didn't compete in until 2007.

Since the US started to compete, here are the scores:

US 77-0 South Korea
US 33-7 Germany
US 23-20 Japan (Championship game)

US 61-0 Australia
US 48-7 Germany
US 17-7 Mexico
US 50-7 Canada (Championship game)

The 2007 team had 11 players from FBS schools, the 2011 team also had 11. The rest are FCS/D2/D3 players.
