The University of Minnesota women's track and field team came in at No. 22 in the first 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday. The Maroon and Gold also had four different events that were ranked inside the top 15 Event Squad rankings, which measures the cumulative depth of a team's top athletes in specific disciplines.
Minnesota's No. 22 ranking is the best indoors for the women since February 5, 2024, when the squad was also No. 22. That season Minnesota went on to finish 26th at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass.
