What the major basketball conferences could look like in 2012-13. I'm assuming Rutgers and UConn will join Pitt & Syracuse in the exodus to the ACC. For now keeping Mizzou in Big 12.

The Big East really needs to convince UConn to stay. Keep UConn and maybe add some combination of Memphis/Xavier/Temple & that would be a decent stop-gap for Big East hoops.

Missouri will be in the SEC almost a given now.

What happens to the Big 12 is the question with only 8 members, do they expand to include BYU and TCU, or do they join with the left over Big East teams. How does Texas and Oklahoma fit those scenario's.

I think there is a distinct possiblity that the basketball only Big East schools will build a conference, maybe add Gonzaga and Xavier to make it a National Catholic League.

Thats where I see it going as well. The Big East should be a basketball only conference, which could be real powerful if done correctly. Here would be a pretty solid 10 team hoops conference.

Georgetown
Depaul
Marquette
St Johns
Villanova
Xavier
Dayton
Seton Hall
Providence
Butler
