Wisky goes down

Syracuse tried their hardest to lose it, too. Gotta make your free throws.

YES! Live by the three die by the three.

Ok - now I want the rest of the BT teams to win - MSU struggling...

If Mr. Elite Athlete Berggren could catch, Wisky wins.

If "Cuse" would've got out that 2-3 zone and gone man they win in double figures. They were so much quicker than the Badger's. That is all Coach B plays though is that 2-3. It almost came back to haunt him tonight

Fun game. Osseo and Hopkins in 3rd OT after Hopkins banks a three at the buzzer in 2nd OT.

And why is that a good thing? Need as many Big Ten teams to move on as possible to fight the ESPN east coast bias (revolving around CT and Syracuse in basketball).
"sniff" can be interpreted many ways. I'd interpret it as sarcasm if I were you.
I am pulling for every other BT team. Not that what I want sitting on my couch in St. Paul affects any outcome - I know it is hard to believe this but it is true.

Good luck in New York, Golden Gophers! Rootin' for you guys to win it all!

On, Wisconsin!

never implied that it impacted any outcome. I'll see you on Tuesday at the Garden? I'll be in Section 109

I am shocked that it was that close, Syracuse was scoring at will, they got the shot they wanted all most everytime down the court in about 10 seconds a possesion. Like someone else said, get out of the zone, play some defense, and they win by 20 rather than 1.

It's the NIT, but how ironic the Gopher's are still playing and Becky is back in Stenchville, Wis.

Poor college student, can't go :(

I hear ya! This poor college student in the day was the one who was writing to Billy McKinney (pre-email days; then GM of the Wolves) asking why he didn't give Tommy Davis a try out on the expansion Wolves (hand written answer was that his agent hadn't reached out to him) and called Sid numerous times to ask him the same question.

YES! Live by the three die by the three.

Yes, that would be the saying. However, the Badgers in no way died by the three. They played a better team tonight. The three point shooting (including a run of 6 in a row) kept them in the game late. Without the three, it may have gotten out of hand.

Needed 2 to win. Why dribble around for 10 sec. 25 feet from the basket. Drive the lane and get a two or go to the FT line. That is dying by the three. JT made a bad decision and the last play.

Well I actually was surprised it was this close, figured the Cuse would blow out the Badgers. Whatever, will watch the Gophers in the NIT now...they are going to be extremely dangerous next year with TM coming back. They may, arguably, be ranked ahead of the Badgers for next year (although Sam Dekker will be an absolute stud as a frosh).

I'd be surprised if OSU doesn't handle Syracuse easily. Should be a good game.

Without Fab Melo, Syracuse is just not anywhere near what they were at full strength.

How does Wisky lose a game in which they make FOURTEEN (14) 3-pointers??? Not to mention only turning it over 6 times. Unbelievable. I would love to see just how many teams ever MADE fourteen three's in an NCAA tournament game and lost.

Sorry...thread title made me think it was a Chadima update

I hope OSU wins but I think Syracuse will. I thought Wisconsin played extremely well, shot the ball, moved it nicely, used up the shot clock, and were lights out on the 3's.

Syracuse is the best offensive machine I have seen, they just score and don't put alot of effort into doing it. Wisconsin plays tough defense but syracuse made them look like they were flat footed and on their heals all night.

Wow. This thread has gone in the toilet. Making light of sexual abuse, that's hilarious!

I've never heard of a Ohio State fan who cheers for Michigan o vice versa, and it baffles me when ever I hear a gopher fan say they cheer for the big ten second so they hope Bucky wins tournament games. Ya just what we need them to steal more of our players.
