CB - Tyreece Jiles
TE - Will Johnson
WR - Jamel Harbison
WR - Prefer McDonald, but will settle for Chance Allen
LB - Jazzmar Clax - Since they seem to be after another LB
OT - Nick Davidson - (okay,...wishful thinking...:)) Maybe Ryan Brodie (probably another reach.
S - Marty Williams

Back up choice Barrington Morris...though a little confused why more schools would not be after him...Grades or to much of a tweener between LB and DE.

I remember reading awhile back that Jiles was interested in the Gophers, so here is hoping he still is...Bummer on Williams.

Got my doubts on McDonald, though it ain't over till its over. Agreed on Davidson and Brodie...Davidson is just wishful thinking.

Other then 2 WRs, I hope they spend a few of the recruits on DBs. maybe a RB.

As for Clax, the Gophers seem to still be bringing in more LBs, so I guess they do...

Have not heard anything lately on Gregory. Given the Gophers already have so many QB commits, it seems unlikely. Both him and Spearman seem to have dropped off the radar lately.

I don't look for Kill to get any recruits to make a last minute switch to MN like Cooper or Carter.
 

McDonald is the only player I feel is a must get for the staff. If the Gophers land McDonald, they can claim they closed the borders this year and added a playmaker which we badly need. If the Gophers don't land McDonald, especially if he chooses Iowa, that is a blow to the recruiting efforts. Hopefully, if McDonald does go elswhere it is not to Iowa and the staff can sign a replacement WR of similar caliber.

In general, I'd love to see a lot of speed added to this class. I'd give up size at WR, CB, and RB to gain kids who run in the 4.4's or faster.

Forget the closing borders concept, nobody does that anymore. Iowa has a good chance of not getting the best player in Iowa, Darboh, and they did not get the best Iowa player last year, he went to Oregon.
McDonald seems po'd about all the controversy he caused and wants out, hard to turn that back. Get Harbison and find another WR. The five linebackers will not all be LBs, couple will probably be rush DEs.
 

Davidson is going to Stanford. Smart kid. tOSU not even in his final 5. He's telling EP kids.
EP had another OT transfer in from Texas. 6'7" 310. Not as good as Davidson but a monster. We'll probably hear about him after a few games.
 

I know this is a filler/talker thread, but honestly I don't care who we get, name-wise, as long as they WANT to be Golden Gophers and they help bring us back to national prominence.

If EP doesn't win the state title this year it means mike grant is lazier than I already think he is.

I heard the same about Stanford. The new Texas kid is HUGE.
