I know we hate them. I know this is fun to watch after all the success they've had. But I'm coming here for an honest football opinion. What is causing their demise ???

The recruiting rankings are the same. They are getting the same type and caliber of players they always have. What do you guys think has led to their demise?

I love watching this, I'm just trying to put my finger on what caused it.

Switching from a traditional pound the ball offense to air raid completely fucked up their wiring and I think they're having a crisis in what their offense is or should be which is impacting recruiting. It looks a lot like what happened when Brewster came in. The have no identity right now and they're down to their third string(?) qb.

Horrible system and their players have given up. And so have their fans. It’s crazy how bad their fans jumped off supporting them.

Some of this goes back to Chryst too, it appears he got lazy on the recruiting front, resting on his laurels, and not embracing NIL...sound familiar...Mike Gundy anyone?

With recruiting in a free fall, implementation of the Dairy Raid, and a thrifty administration its been a receipe for disaster.

1. Jim Leonard is no longer there running that attacking 3-4 defense
2. They don't get to play in the B1G West anymore
3. Their QB1 has been hurt 3 straight years (Fickell actually has a winning record when their QB1 starts)
4. They're not talented enough to be a finesse team. And not physical enough anymore to be a power team so they have no identity
