Wisconsin LB who switched from Gophers to Badgers

Does anyone remember the name of the Wisconsin H.S. LB who at first committed to the Gophers and said he was solid. Then he got a late Wisconsin offer and dumped the Gophers. If you remember him ... did he ever amount to anything on the Badger team. It wasn't that long ago ... he should still be there. Might have been in one of Brewster's last classes.

Keelon Brookins? He's a cornerback, not a linebacker, so maybe not the one you're thinking of, and I think he was pretty clear that while he was committed to us, he was keeping his options open. I think he suffered a serious leg injury after he switched his commitment to Wisconsin.
 

ur thinking of that konrad zagzebeski or something like that i think he plays but not very much for them
 

Konrad is the guy I was thinking about. Thanks ... Can't sleep 2:10 a.m. So what to I do? Come to Gopherhole ... I posted that at 1:16. Some how it is somewhat comforting to see there are 38 other people not sleeping as well.

Keefer redshirted and was moved to d-end. Was running with the twos this fall as a redshirt sophomore, but tore his meniscus in a scrimmage and needed surgery. Since he already sat out a year, it sounds like he's going to try to get back this season in time for a bowl game. But I don't think he was ever committed to Minnesota.
 

Konrad Zagzebski is the name you're trying to think of. He tore his ACL his Jr. year and didn't get as many offers as he probably should've. He jumped on the Gophers offer in January 2009 (over a year before graduating) and then flipped to Becky when they offered in April 2009. I doubt anyone would've cared that much if not for the quote: "I don't care who else offers, I want to be a Golden Gopher. The way I see it Wisconsin and everyone else had their chance. I just want to be at Minnesota. My decision is over."

He bulked up to 270ish and is now a backup DE as a RS Jr. He would've been a solid rotational player here, but we've suffered far worse losses in recruiting, particularly his linemate Beau Allen who many here said was no good and yet is now the best NT in the conference and is going to be at worst a late-round draft pick next spring.
 

That quote that he made is what got me thinking about him. I wondered when he dropped the Gophers if he every turned out to be a good player.

Agree, mkAz. Why the hell are we even talking about these guys? All threads talking about Wisky Badgers belongs on the NO TOPIC BOARD.

any minnesota kid who spits in our face by playing for wisconsin should get booed and should not be allowed back across the border when they graduate from *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# U get a job in wisconsin and stay there we dont want you
