Fairest way to compare I think would be 2021 and on. Pre Covid it was a different sport and 2021 was the soft start to NIL and renegade transferring. Counting today we are 40-25 overall, 24-21 in the big ten, 5-0 in bowl games

College football changed massively with NIL and now the House settlement.

Don't think it makes any sense to go back pre-covid, so I'd do 2021 onward. And would only count P4 games. No sense counting others, to me

I think if you want to compare the program to the rest of the conference or country as an “era” the turnaround to this level really was either fleck year 2 (2018) or Kill year 4 (2014)
