Winfield makes Bleacher Report All-America team

Winfield also was first team safety on Pro Football Focus All-America team. Rashod was second team receiver and Tyler was third team.

FWIW.....he just made The Athletic's first team All-American team. He was the only Gopher to make first or second team.

He would be our first All-American since Maxx Williams. If he sticks around another year he could win the Thorpe Award and be a consensus All-America in NCAA records.

USA Today also. That makes 5 of the 13 selectors. More than enough to tell his grandchildren he was an All-American. NCAA always accepted officially, for consensus, only a small group of five selectors, and Wiki says this in one article - but in another article Wiki says the selectors have been expanded to 13 this year. What to believe? Big ones yet to come; AP, Coaches, FWAA writers, Sporting News.

I just want him to get all accolades he can. As many of us older folks know, there is a limited time of athletic ability. I hope he can capitalize on it and kick some ass. Good for him, and also good for the U.
