Is there any relationship between making this "team" and where one goes in the draft?

This is just window dressing. I would think most teams have their needs list and their player evaluations. They have their Plan A, B, C, etc... lists all mapped out.

One thing the Combine will do is move player evaluation ranks up or down. I would think someone has looked at each player's body of work in college. For some on the fringes, it may mean the difference between being drafted and not.

Charismatic, intelligent, and down-to-earth for sure. Talked with him briefly while getting his autograph after the Penn State game, very nice guy.

There's no Cause & Effect relationship, but it indicates that he performed well and people noticed.
