Is there any hope that the Williams crowd will improve? It ranks in the bottom half of the B10 in terms of consistent energy. This is mind boggling given the resurgence of the team. IU's crowd blows ours away-and they are atrocious.

Realistically, is there any way to get the fans to be noisy and supportive beyond the obvious momentum plays? More cheerleaders?

Teams with worse crowds: Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Northwestern, IU (bribing fans with cheap tickets and letting students in for free does not count), Ohio State (you said consistent), Wisconsin (at least this year)

Teams with better crowds: Purdue, Michigan State, Illinois

Next?

2 things.
1) IU has had much better teams over the past 20 years. The current crowd has watched 20 years of God-Awful basketball. Give them (us) time to get up there.

2) The energy last night wasn't there. I think that can be attributed to a long gap between home games. Throw in 2 road losses before and you've got lack of energy. All in all, I think the crowd in the Barn has been very good this year, starting with the Virginia game.

Assembling a roster of go-to offensive threats and a scheme that nets 80+ points per game with a dozen one-on-one, in-your-face plays will certainly help. At least it's worked in the past. We're trying to win with defense at the moment.
