Hey guys! I am new to this site and all. I had a question. does anyone know anything about the old floor in Williams area? Like how old it was? how long its been since it was replaced last?

It was replaced prior to last season.

is the old flooring worth anything? I noticed they were selling small pieces of it on the gopher site. My dad gave me this last week and i dont really have any use for it and i guess i wanted to find out a little bit more about it.

Yes, that would be worth something. How much I have no idea, but I was happy to shell out a little coin for my plaque with the small piece on it. What would you want for it?

He also has the Original "P" as well.
there actually pretty big pieces too and i dont see myself ever using it for anything but i bet someone could make something cool out of it.
I want to sell it i guess i just don't know what would be the best way to do so.
is craigslist a good option? I have a ton more photos too.

If you know what you want for it Craigslist would work, otherwise ebay might give you a truer 'market value'. Is it certified authentic by chance?

no , my dad said he worked for the company that replaced the new flooring and said they were throwing all of it away.
So he decided to keep the letters he picked up for keepsake but never ended up doing anything with them.
it has original dates on the back of it though when they tore it out.

You didn't give me a chance to write back!

Oh well.

What I wouldn't do to have that hanging on my wall...

Wow. Like ruralgopher, I shelled out $$ for a little 2" x 8" chunk of this history. I'm sure there are a host of people (myself included) that would absolutely LOVE to have this piece of Gopher sports memorabilia in their possession.

Hard for me to believe that they were just tossing these away. Woulda been cool if they mounted these up in the Alumni Center or something a la Memorial Stadium brick arch.

Definitely glad to hear this. Haven't been in the HOF yet, despite being at all the home games this season so far. That pic you posted is motivating me to take the time before one of the games...

Anyone know where the M is? That would be my dream to have the original M.
