Lots of tickets on MyGopherSports right now. Lots of sections in the upper deck with 400+ seats left. 24 degree forecasted high.

What do you think, GH?

I doubt it honestly. Most people are going to expect us to get decimated by osu after the show their O put on vs MSU

Probably not. Not many fans will travel, and the band wagoners will expect us to get clobbered.

But I hope it's 2:30 and I hope it's competitive.

No way. We had less than 50K today with the benefit of a few thousand Iowa fans in attendance. Not to mention the "cold weather" will probably hurt week of/walk up traffic. Too bad too, these guys deserve a sell out.

Since the Iowa game wasn't a sell out I doubt the tOSU game will be. The bigger question will be: does tOSU overlook the Gophers or do they take us seriously? It will be very interesting to see how we stack up against them especially with the possibility of playing them again this season (perfect scenario).

How much do you think deer hunting opener had to do with the low attendance?

Not with a high in the 20's

Has nothing to do with it. Fans showed up for Wisconsin (53,000 to be exact) which was 10 degrees colder than what OSU will be. The reason it won't sell out is:

1. People think we'll get spanked
2. Not a trophy game
3. No visiting fans to buy tickets

I agree with everything you said except for "has nothing to do with it." A 20 degree temperature will 100% hamper ticket sales, the only question is how much.

I'm just saying, history indicates weather doesn't deter fans from a marquee matchup. This one doesn't fit the bill.
