Will MSU show up?

Every year there is a team that is assured a high seen in the tourney, so they lay down rather than have their players exert any unnecessary effort to win a "meaningless" game. Is MSU that team this year? If that is the case, the Gophers need to get past the Boilers without Hummel, and that should put them in the final vs. Wisky or tOSU. And I think they have a pretty good chance vs. either one.

Your thoughts?
 


I am 99% sure that the Spartans will show up tomorrow. It has been clear in the past that the BTT is not MSU's priority, but this year Izzo has made it clear that the tournament is very important to him. Izzo is usually pretty up front and I don't doubt him.

They're still very beatable even if they do show up, though.
 

They will definitely show up. Michigan St. could drop to a 4 seed with a loss depending on how everything else plays out. The difference between a 3 and a 4 seed is HUGE.

hard to beat a team 3 times. I really like our chances on a neutral court...this game could be much like game 2 at the barn. Hopefully if we get a lead we hold it this time!

Don't you mean it's hard to beat a team 8 times?

Tubby is 0-7 vs. Izzo

MSU has plenty to play for. If you look at their resume, it's not terribly impressive. People just assume they're a 2-3 seed because they're MICHIGAN STATE. They need tomorrow's game as well to be assured a 4 seed or better.

Tubby has beaten Izzo, just not (yet) at Minnesota.
 

MSU will show up, but I still like our chances. We played great yesterday, I realize it was against a mediocre Penn State squad, but we look like a team on a mission. I wouldn't want to play us if I was a Spartan fan.
 



Damian is definitely on a mission. If Devoe stays hot and in control, I like our chances.
